Jian Wang  王健  pinyin Wang Jian

   

1968

Jian Wang  王健 was born in a musical family in Xi'an  China.

   
  He sudied the cello with his father, when he was four, and he entered the
  Shanghai conservatory.
   

1981

He played the Saint Saëns cello concerto with the Shanghai Symphony
  Orchestra at the Shanghai Music Hall.
   

1985

Encouraged by his teacher Mr Stern, he joined the Yale School of Music United Kingdom
  and studied under the cellist Aldo Parisot.
   
 

He holds the International Chair of Cello at the Royal Conservatoire Birminghamham.

   
 

As a Soloist  -  he performed with the greatest symphony orchestras :

 

Gothenberg Symphony  Sweden, NHK (  Nippon Hoso Kyokai ) Symphony  Japan  -

 

London Symphony -  Boston and Detroit Symphonies - Shanghai  Symphony China -

 

China National orchestra - Guangzhou - Hangzhou - Shenzhen Symphony orchestras.

 

 

 

  - He played with the greatest philarmonic orchestras :

 

The B.B.C. orchestra - The Berlin Philarmonic

 

  -  The China Philarmonic  -  The Stocholm Philarmonic - The New York and Los Angeles Philarmonics

 

 

-  He played also with the famous  : Cleveland orchestra - l'orchestre de Paris -  

 

 - La Scala de Venise  -  Mahler Chamder.
